Procedures

Allergy Immunotherapy

  • Known as allergy shots and work like a vaccine. It is a form of long-term treatment that decreases symptoms for many people with allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, conjunctivitis (eye allergy) or stinging insect allergy.

Drug Challenge

  • The administration of a drug suspected of causing an adverse drug reaction to assess culpability.

Food Challenge

  • It is a medical procedure in which a food is eaten slowly, in gradually increasing amounts, under medical supervision. It is a highly accurate diagnostic test for food allergy.

Skin Test

  • Skin test checks for immediate allergic reactions to as many as 40 different substances at once. This test is usually done to identify allergies to pollen, mold, pet dander, dust mites, and foods.

Patch Test

  • It is a method used to determine whether a specific substance causes allergic inflammation of a patient’s skin.

Spirometry Test

  • Spirometry is the most common type of pulmonary function or breathing test. This test measures how much air you can breathe in and out of your lungs, as well as how easily and fast you can the blow the air out of your lungs.
